On Oct. 3, 2006, the name of the building changed to Honda Center when Honda Motor Company became the title sponsor of the building. The arena has also hosted the 2003 World Gymnastics Championships, the 2005 World Badminton Championships and NCAA events, including the first Frozen Four west of the Rocky Mountains.
