Sick of riding the same old streets in "Skate 2?" Starting July 9, gamers can download and compete in the Maloof Money Cup competition (the largest pursed event in the history of skateboarding) for just $3 in the PlayStation Store or 240 points on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The Maloof Money Cup pack will feature free skate, single player vert, and street contests pitting offline gamers against the top pros. In addition, the online mode will enable gamers to compete in new activities as they ride for bragging rights against friends.

And special to the Xbox 360, 250 new achievement points will be up for grabs.

"'Skate 2' has been embraced by the gaming and skateboarding community across the globe, making it the perfect stage for the Maloof Money Cup's video game debut," said Joe Maloof, President of Maloof Companies via press release. "Now players everywhere can experience the world's greatest skateboarding championship and revel in the high-stakes excitement of the competition for themselves."

The Maloof Money Cup is a three-day competition and festival that takes place July 10-12, 2009 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., and boasts cash and prizes of nearly $450,000.

All attendees of the competition can access EA's Skate 2 booth at the event, located near the front of the festival, where the Maloof Money Cup Pack will be available for playing.
