Lynx's Williams out 4-6 weeks after surgery
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Lynx forward Tamika Williams will miss four to six weeks after having surgery Tuesday on a torn meniscus in her left knee.
The team captain was injured Sunday in the team's first practice of training camp. She was examined on Monday and had successful surgery on Tuesday morning, Lynx spokesman Matt Slieter said.
Entering her fifth season in Minnesota, Williams is the WNBA's career leader in field goal percentage, shooting 58.1 percent in her first four years.
