Adubato resigns from Mystics after team's dismal start
WASHINGTON -- Washington Mystics coach Richie Adubato resigned Friday after his team started the season 0-4.
The team did not specify why Adubato quit just before the Mystics' home game against Chicago.
"Richie felt that it was in his best interest to leave our team," general manager Linda Hargrove said in a statement. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors."
Assistant Tree Rollins was selected as interim coach.
