Lynx, free-agent Williams agree to terms
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Lynx agreed to terms on a contract with free agent forward Adrian Williams on Wednesday.
A five-year WNBA veteran, Williams spent last season playing in a league in Korea. She split 2004 between Phoenix and San Antonio, landing with the Silver Stars in a trade for Gwen Jackson.
The 6-foot-4 Williams had her best season in 2003, when she averaged 9.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 29.0 minutes in 34 games with the Mercury and was named to the Western Conference All-Star team.
Williams was originally drafted by Phoenix out of Southern Cal in 2000.
