BOSTON -- Duke's Monique Currie and Mistie Williams will find out soon where their basketball careers are headed. Less than 24 hours after the Blue Devils and Maryland played for the NCAA women's championship Tuesday night, they're expected to be two of the top picks in the WNBA draft Wednesday.

The young Terrapins start two freshmen, two sophomores and one junior so the draft is no concern to them. Underclassmen aren't eligible for the WNBA draft.

For the first time since the WNBA began play in 1997, the draft will be held in conjunction with the tournament.

The No. 1 pick won't come from either finalist, unless the Minnesota Lynx, who hold that choice, change their minds. Coach Suzie McConnell Serio said the team will choose Seimone Augustus of LSU, the top scorer in the nation, or Cappie Pondexter of Rutgers.

Currie is the leading scorer (16.2 points per game) on the nation's highest-scoring team (86.3).

Other players expected to go high in the draft are Sophia Young of Baylor, Megan Duffy of Notre Dame, Nikki Blue of UCLA and Shona Thorburn and Kim Smith of Utah.
