MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Lynx signed the WNBA's first overall draft pick, Seimone Augustus, to a contract on Wednesday.

was named the women's player of the year by The Associated Press.
Per the league's last collective bargaining agreement, rookie contracts are for three years guaranteed with a fourth option year.
