Right arch sprain sidelines Catchings vs. Comets
HOUSTON -- All-Star forward Tamika Catchings did not play in the Indiana Fever's game with the Houston Comets on Wednesday night because of an arch sprain in her right foot.
Catchings had played in 138 straight games, dating to Aug. 14, 2001. She last missed a start on Sept. 10, 2004, against San Antonio with a toe injury on the same foot.
The 2005 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year was 0-of-6 from the field in the first half and finished with seven points on 1-for-7 shooting in Indiana's 91-70 win over the New York Liberty on Tuesday.
