COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- WNBA rookie sensation Seimone
Augustus was added Tuesday to the USA Basketball Women's World
Championship team along with All-Stars Yolanda Griffith and Alana
Augustus, the former college player of the year with LSU, is
averaging 22.5 points per game for the Minnesota Lynx.
Beard is averaging 18 points per game for the Washington
Mystics. Griffith, who plays for the Sacramento Monarchs, is a
two-time Olympic gold medalist.
The additions bring the U.S. roster to 11. The other players are
Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes, Katie Smith, DeLisha Milton-Jones, Sue
Bird, Tamika Catchings, Diana Taurasi and Tina Thompson.
