Minnesota's 3-year deal for Sanford matched by Mystics
WASHINGTON -- The Washington Mystics re-signed center Nakia Sanford on Thursday, matching the three-year offer the restricted free agent received from the Minnesota Lynx.
Sanford signed the offer sheet with the Lynx on Tuesday.
"I am over the moon that I am still a Mystic," Sanford said.
Sanford has played five seasons with the Mystics and is coming off a career-best 2007 season in which she averaged 11 points and 7.1 rebounds.
