Former All-Star Ferdinand-Harris signs deal with Sparks
LOS ANGELES -- The Sparks signed three-time WNBA All-Star guard Marie Ferdinand-Harris on Friday.
Ferdinand-Harris has averaged 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in six seasons with the Utah Starzz and the San Antonio Silver Stars. Last season, she averaged just 6.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists with San Antonio.
"Her addition gives us a good slashing, shooting guard that we are going to need this upcoming season," Los Angeles coach Michael Cooper said. "I'm happy to have her join the team."
The 5-foot-9, 29-year-old was an All-Star in 2002, when she averaged 15.3 points. She was also an All-Star in 2003 and 2005.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
