Mystics re-sign 3-point specialist Koehn

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Mystics re-signed 3-point specialist Laurie Koehn, who returns for her fourth season with the team.

Koehn made 46 percent of her 3-point attempts since joining the Mystics as a free agent in 2005. She led the league with a 47 percent average as a rookie and last year won the WNBA's 3-point shootout during All-Star weekend.

Koehn, who re-signed Monday, finished her college career at Kansas State as the NCAA's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 392.

Despite her outside shooting, Koehn has played sparingly with the Mystics. She averaged 3.9 minutes per game last season and scored a total of 40 points in 28 games. Of her 13 field goals, only one wasn't a 3-pointer.
