Friday's Comets-Monarchs game might be played Monday
NEW YORK -- The WNBA game in Houston on Friday between the Comets and Sacramento Monarchs was postponed because of Hurricane Ike.
The WNBA said Thursday the game at Reliant Arena most likely will be rescheduled for Monday, depending on the severity of the storm.
Authorities in the Houston area and along the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast ordered hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate Thursday as Ike lumbered toward the coast and threatened to grow even stronger.
