Report: Jackson to stay in Seattle
Seattle Storm center Lauren Jackson, who would have been a free agent this offseason, is staying put.
She agreed to a two-year deal with the Storm before leaving for her native Australia, the Seattle Times reported Thursday. Jackson can sign the contract Jan. 5, when WNBA teams can ink free agents.
"I want to finish my career here," Jackson said, according to the Times.
Jackson, who is a two-time WNBA MVP, is the Storms' all-time leading scorer with 5,101 career points.
Despite missing eight games this season, Jackson was named to the all-WNBA first team for the sixth time in her career.
