WNBA teams to host Chinese squad
NEW YORK -- China's national women's basketball team will play against WNBA teams in the league's preseason during a U.S. visit for the second straight year.
The WNBA announced that China will visit the Connecticut Sun on May 19, then face the New York Liberty on May 27 in Albany, N.Y.
Between those preseason games, China will also have scrimmages against the Washington Mystics on May 21 and the Chicago Sky on May 23.
China will also scrimmage both with New York and Connecticut at the Liberty's practice facility in Greenburgh, N.Y.
Last season, China played preseason games against the Los Angeles Sparks, San Antonio Silver Stars and Phoenix, and Poland faced Connecticut.
