Scholanda Robinson sent to Silver Stars
TULSA, Okla. -- The Tulsa Shock have traded guard Scholanda Robinson to San Antonio for the Silver Stars' second- and third-round picks in the 2012 WNBA draft.
Robinson averaged career highs of 11.9 points and 2.4 rebounds while playing in all 34 games last year for the Shock, who were a league-worst 6-28 in their first season since moving from Detroit.
The 5-foot-11 Robinson, selected out of LSU in the first round by Sacramento in 2006, has averaged 7.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in five seasons.
Tulsa acquired second-year guard Andrea Riley from Los Angeles in January, and signed 40-year-old veteran forward Sheryl Swoopes in March. The Shock also selected 19-year-old Australian center Liz Cambage with the second overall pick in last month's draft.
