ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Sylvia Fowles had a season-high 27 points and 11 rebounds and the Chicago Sky ran their winning streak to three games, beating the New York Liberty 85-73 on Friday night.
Fowles scored 10 points in third quarter and the Sky (3-1) outscored the Liberty (2-3) 32-13 in the period to turn a 36-31 halftime deficit into a 63-49 advantage.
Epiphanny Prince added 17 points for Chicago, and Michelle Snow had 13.
The Liberty dropped their third straight. Cappie Pondexter led New York with 20 points, Essence Carson had 12, and Kia Vaughn 10.
New York took a 32-24 lead with 4:46 left in the first half on Sydney Colson's running layup, and had a five-point advantage at halftime.
Chicago's big third quarter included a 12-2 run, capped by Dominique Canty's layup that made it 61-47 with 29 seconds left. The Sky pushed the lead to 21 points at 76-55 on Catherine Kraayeveld's 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.
Pondexter scored 13 points in the fourth quarter.
Chicago shot 29 of 61 from the field (47.5 percent) and outscored New York 34-28 in the paint. The Sky also out rebounded the Liberty 34-29, including seven apiece from Kraayeveld and Snow.
